Its purpose is to empower you with real-time visibility and control over your vehicles. You'll gain a quick summary of operations and important updates, enabling you to make informed decisions faster.

Dashboard: Think of this as your mission control center, where all important information about your vehicles is displayed.
Geofence: A virtual boundary you draw on the map. When a vehicle enters or exits this area, you can receive an alert.

How It Works

The Dashboard Map serves as your primary interface. After logging in, you'll see an interactive map populated with your vehicles. Each vehicle is represented by an icon, often color-coded to indicate its current status (e.g., green for running, yellow for idle, blue for parked, red for untracked).

You can interact with the map to zoom in for detailed views, filter vehicles by groups or status, and click on individual vehicle icons to reveal more options and detailed information. The system constantly updates, ensuring you always see the latest data.

Getting Started

Here’s how to perform key actions on your Dashboard Map:

Log In: Open the Vehicle Tracking System and log in with your credentials. You will be redirected to the Dashboard.
View Your Profile:
- Click on the User icon (or your profile picture) in the top-right corner.
- Select "Profile" from the dropdown menu.
- Verify that your contact information and general details are displayed correctly.
Update Your Profile Details:
- From your profile screen, edit the desired fields (e.g., Name, Email, Phone Number, Address).
- Save your changes.
Change Your Password:
- Click on the User icon in the top-right corner.
- Click the three dots (⋮) at the top-right corner of your profile section.
- Select "Change Password" to update your password.
Change Language:
- Click on the User icon in the top-right corner.
- Select "Language" from the dropdown menu.
- Choose a new language (e.g., Spanish, French). All text elements on the map interface will update accordingly.
Logout:
- Click on the User icon in the top-right corner.
- Select "Logout" from the dropdown menu. You will be redirected to the login page.
View Online Vehicles:
- Look for the "Vehicles Online" label and count at the top-right of the dashboard.
- Click on the green vehicle icon and count to see the complete list of online vehicles.
Search for a Specific Vehicle:
- Go to the 'Map' section of your Dashboard.
- Use the search bar at the top to enter the vehicle's name or ID. The map will highlight its location.
View Vehicle Status:
- On the Dashboard, select your desired vehicle. Its status (Running, Parked, Idle, Untracked) will be displayed.
- Running vehicles have a green icon.
- Idle vehicles have a yellow icon.
- Parked vehicles have a blue icon.
- Untracked vehicles have a red icon.
Zoom In/Out on Map:
- Click the + (Plus) icon to zoom in for a closer view.
- Click the - (Minus) icon to zoom out for a broader view.
Go Full Screen:
- Click the full-screen icon (often a square icon) in the map controls to expand the map.
- Click it again to exit full-screen mode.

Key Features You'll Use

Real-Time Vehicle Tracking: See your vehicles' live locations and movement directly on the interactive map. Vehicle icons update in real-time, changing color based on their status (running, idle, parked, untracked).
Profile Management: Easily access and update your personal information and account settings, including changing your password, from the "My Profile" section.
Multi-Language Support: Switch the application's language from your profile settings for a more comfortable user experience.
Vehicle Grouping: Organize your vehicles into groups (e.g., "Fleet A," "Trucks," "Sales Team") and filter the map to view specific groups, making large fleet management straightforward.
Detailed Vehicle Information: Click on any vehicle icon on the map to see its detailed information, including vehicle type, driver name, device details, scheduled trips, and real-time alerts.
Alerts & Notifications: Receive instant notifications for critical events like geofence breaches, speeding, or emergency alerts. Access these through the bell icon in the top header or by clicking on a vehicle's icon for vehicle-specific alerts.
Scheduled Trip Visibility: Easily spot and view details of any scheduled trips associated with your vehicles, indicated by a yellow icon.
Location Sharing: Share a vehicle's current live location with others via a unique, shareable link directly from the vehicle details menu.
Map Controls: Utilize zoom in/out, full-screen mode, and map reset options for optimal viewing and navigation.
Offline Tracking: Even with no internet, the system temporarily stores tracking data and updates it once connectivity is restored, ensuring no data is lost.

Common Scenarios

"I want to quickly check which of my delivery vans are currently running."
- On the Dashboard, look at the "Vehicles Online" count. Green vehicle icons on the map indicate running vehicles. You can also click the count to see a full list.
"My driver just called, and I need to share their exact location with a client."
- Click on the vehicle's icon on the map, then the three dots (⋮) in the details card, and select "Share Current Location". A shareable link will be generated.
"I want to know if any vehicles entered a specific depot today."
- If you have a geofence set up for that depot, the system will send you a notification when a vehicle enters. You can also check the Geofence Entry Report (in the Alerts section of a vehicle's details).
"I need to review all speeding incidents for a particular truck this week."
- Click on the truck's icon on the map, then the three dots (⋮) in the details card, and access the "Alerts" section. You can filter for speeding events over a specific period.
"My team uses different languages. Can I change the language of the application?"
- Yes, click your User icon (profile picture), select "Language," and choose your preferred language. All text will instantly update.
"I'm managing a large fleet and only want to see vehicles from 'Group A' on the map."
- Use the "Vehicle Group" dropdown on the Dashboard to select "Group A." The map will automatically filter and zoom to show only those vehicles.
"What if I lose internet connection while tracking?"
- The system's offline tracking mode will store data locally and automatically update the map once your device regains network connectivity, so you don't miss any critical information.
